If you are pedaling up a steep ascent on asphalt, you need a stiff frame. If you are cycling on an off-road stretch, you need comfort and stability, which means a flexible frame. This is the aim of the ESAS system, which can automatically stiffen the frame or make it more flexible, analysing road conditions in real time. The ESAS system is composed of two electro-hydraulic suspensions, which are able to electronically stiffen or soften themselves, and a control unit fitted with sensors.

The system is able to elaborate the data from the sensors and then control the suspensions to guarantee rigidity or flexibility exactly when you need it. ESAS is also fitted with a rider interface which allows the rider to interact with the system via a button and an RGB LED and enable the connection with other devices, through BLE and ANT+ protocols.

REAR SUSPENSION

ESAS’s Rear Suspension is designed with a hydraulic lock-out system managed by an electronic actuator. The spring element is made of a customizable elastomeric component. If the lock-out system is closed, the frame is completely stiff. If the lock-out system is open, the frame is soft.

FRONT SUSPENSION

ESAS’s Front Suspension is designed with a hydraulic lock-out system managed by an electronic actuator. The Suspension is placed inside of the bike headtube to be fully integrated. The spring element is made of a customizable metal coil component that also provides a SAG regulation system.

SMART BATTERY PACK

ESAS’s Smart Battery Pack is composed of an electronic unit with sensors embedded and a LiPo battery to power the entire system. This component is able to detect in real time the road profile managing the suspension lock-out systems accordingly. The Smart Battery Pack is placed inside of the vertical tube.
